August & September: 2023 Athina was invited by Emma Redding, director of the Victoria College of Arts to collaborate and explore the local cultural landscape of Melbourne in Australia.
The research centred around indigenous knowledge; community visits, including theatres and schools in Shepparton and Bendigo. There were exchanges with academics and artists.
Two short film works were created in collaboration with Head of the VCA Film and Television, Andrew O'Keefe.
Athina created an autobiographical solo work on Emma, and directed Quest, a short film on Melbourne rooftops.
